| Glossop Carnival- 4th to the 5th July 2009 |

| This annual community event held in Manor Park features many attractions including the Tameside Sea Cadets performing the ‘Climbing the Rigging’ recently performed before H.M. the Queen. There is also a funfair, RSPCA Dog Show, Cheerleaders, Maypole Dancing, lots of live music and a ‘Real Ale’ tent. There will be lots of stalls, farmers market and crafts. Parade normally commences from the Town hall Car Park at 12 noon and proceeds up to Manor Park, led by the Oldham Scottish Pipe Band. If you would like to walk in the parade please contact the organiser. |
