Big success for Oxjam

GLOSSOP town centre was moving to the beat at the annual Oxjam festival.

Performers in Norfolk Square treated local residents, music fans and passers by to a day of free music and dance. Performers, including Bellyssimo bellydancers, Powderkegs morris dancers, Dynamite street dancers, Glossopdale Samba band and cheerleaders Spirit Shockers, helped to raise more than £200 for Oxfam, despite the very windy weather. All the performers gave their time free of charge.

The month of musical fundraising in Glossop is just a part of the national Oxjam festival which aims to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
